My Stance on Colleges

Interests

I am interested in learning more about math and science in the future. I am looking for a school that can provide education for my desired topics. There are many science schools that are very prestigious that I can look at in the future for possibilities to go to. I'm not completley set on what types of math or science I want to focus on or what schools I want to go to.

Experience

I am currently at Lane Tech and I wish to enroll in classes in coming years that revolve around my interests. I am currently in a Web Development class that is allowing me to make this website right now. It is definetley one of the cooler classes I have ever taken. I might continue to learn computer science and more about coding. So far, as I'm currently only halfway through my first year at Lane, it is a very good school with lots of promising opportunities.

Colleges I'm Interested in

Washington University

University of Indiana

University of Chicago

On Thanksgiving break 2023 I was able to tour some colleges with my sister. One that caught my eye was Washington University. Washington University seemed very centered around the students and it seemed like they offered very good education in topics I am interested in.

One school that I didn't visit but I am aware of is University of Chicago. For one the college is in Chicago, where I am. Another reason is because the school offers courses about space or more specifically astrophysics. Both the combination of the studies I like and the proximity to me makes the school seem very promising.

Another college that I visited on Thanksgiving break 2023 was Indiana University. My mom and a lot of people from her side of my family actually went to IU and think it was a very good school. The school is definetley on my watchlist aswell because it does offer some really cool technological courses and studies.
